If you’ve seen me around campus at LASUSTECH lately, you probably know me as a third-year Chemical Engineering student buried in textbooks and lab reports. But what a lot of people don’t see are the late nights I spend researching product formulations and sourcing the perfect fabrics for my brands.
Building Choicyluxe has been a wild ride so far. I’m currently in the research and concept phase, which honestly feels a lot like my engineering projects. You have to get the foundation right before you can build something beautiful.
Why Engineering and Fashion?
It might seem like a weird mix, but to me, they’re two sides of the same coin. Engineering gives me the precision to understand how things work, whether it’s a chemical reaction for a skincare serum or the structural integrity of a beaded corset.
Right now, my focus is on:
Fabric & Design: I’ve been diving deep into materials like organza, tulle, and tweed for the clothing line. I’m especially excited about the beading projects I have lined up for our December launch.
The Tech Side: I’m also pushing myself to learn Python and data analysis. I want to use those skills to make sure my business runs as efficiently as possible from day one.
What’s Next?
Everything is leading up to this December. I’m working on a curated collection of bags, shoes, and clothes that I can’t wait to share at our Brand Launch.
This blog is where I’ll be documenting the real, unpolished parts of this journey - the wins, the mistakes in the lab, and the progress as we get closer to the reveal.
Thanks for being here at the start. It’s going to be a busy few months, but I’m ready to architect something special.
